黄蓉 huang rong. a character by jing yong, the famous wu xia writer. charming, witty, and sometimes quite sly....my favourite female character in all of the jing yong novels!
this is a speed painting piece, and its style is more sketchy than realism. I was trying to mimick the style of chinese watercolour, and the illustration style of taiwan novels. |

the transparent bit of the clothes are quite nice, the skirt let it down a bit though
perhaps you could try using coloured outlines to make the image smoother? so it gives a more chinese-y effect
